Frequently asked questions
An estimate of the company’s chargeable income for a year of assessment, filed within three months of the financial year end, ahead of the full tax return.
Companies whose annual revenue is not more than S$5 million and whose ECI is nil for the year qualify for the filing waiver. Both conditions must be met.
IRAS may issue a notice of assessment based on its own estimate, which you must pay within one month even if you object.
Companies that e-file ECI within the first month after year end and pay by GIRO can spread the tax over ten monthly instalments. Fewer instalments are available the later you file.
No. The full return, Form C-S or C, is still due by 30 November. ECI is an interim estimate.
